Our first graders have officially become animal researchers! They’ve been busy reading informational texts, hunting for interesting facts, and learning how to turn their research into their very own animal research projects!
We are so proud of the thoughtful questions, exciting discoveries, and hard work our young researchers are putting into their projects. We can’t wait to see all of their amazing animal projects come together!

We ended the week celebrating our 1st Quarter Leader in Me Awards!
Our students who modeled Habit 1: Be Proactive and Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind were recognized with certificates for demonstrating leadership in their daily choices. We also drew student shout-outs and handed out prizes to celebrate our amazing leaders! 🏆👏
Our students are learning that leadership starts with the choices they make each day. By being proactive and beginning with the end in mind, they are building the habits and skills they need to become leaders in life! 🌟
🍎 We had an apple-solutely wonderful day in PreK! 🍎
Our classroom smelled delicious as we made homemade applesauce! 😋 We used our 5 senses to explore apples in so many fun ways.
👀 We looked at and painted apples. 👃 We smelled the sweet apples and cinnamon. 👂 We listened as we stirred and cooked. 🤲 We felt the apples and explored their different textures. 👅 And, of course, we tasted our yummy applesauce! 🍎🥄
From painting to tasting, our little learners had so much fun learning through their senses. Our room smelled amazing, and our tummies were happy! ❤️🍎
